Biology
Bastiodon is a Pokémon that looks like a hybrid between a ceratopsian like Zuniceratops and a bulldozer. Its dark gray, square head has four cream-yellow, window-like spots with a black outline, three dark gray spikes on top, and two bigger gray spikes in the upper corners. A gray, horizontal spike seems to penetrate Bastiodon’s triangular snout, which stretches from the center of its shield-like skull down over its lips. Four spikes extend downward from its dark gray lower jaw, and four enormous, blunt tusks protrude upward. The nasal spike and spaced-out tusks partly hide Bastiodon’s cream-yellow eyes. A gray ridge and dark gray plates on its back, jagged growths on its legs, and a plated tail defend its thick, cream-yellow body.
It dates back around 100 million years. Bastiodon, despite its rough, frightening look, is a peaceful, compassionate Pokémon that eats on grass and berries. Its steel-hard, shield-like face can withstand any onslaught. When a group of Bastiodon forms a wall, nothing can break through; this is how they safeguarded their young. It is weak from behind, in sharp contrast to its impregnable frontal protection. It seems to have shared habitats with Rampardos, as demonstrated by the fact that their fossils are often discovered together.
