Biology

Blitzle is a zebra-like black Pokémon with broad, double-pointed white stripes over its neck, chest, back, and rear legs. It features a rounded snout, a broad black nose, and blue eyes with golden sclerae. It has small, triangular ears on top of its head with blue insides. Its legs are white below the knees, with black hooves. It has a short, white tail with two tips. A spiky, white mane runs up its neck, culminating in a lengthy extension that resembles a lightning bolt at the front. This Pokémon’s mane collects and stores electricity, which glows as it discharges energy. By adjusting the rhythm and frequency of these flashes, it communicates with other members of its species. Blitzle goes out during lightning storms to refresh its mane with lightning bolts.

• Blitzle was released at the start of A Unova Unveiling on September 16^th, 2019.

•  Shiny form of Blitzle was released at the start of Fashion Week 2021 on September 21^st, 2021.
  • Since costumed Blitzle cannot evolve, so that the normal shiny Blitzle and Zebstrika were not available until the end of event.
