Biology
Bouffalant is a bovine Pokémon with a huge, black afro. Two huge, curved horns sprout from the afro, each with two golden growths resembling rings. It has a shaggy brown hide that reaches the knees but does not cover its face. A huge, gray nose protrudes from the end of its short, beige snout, and its yellow eyes are partially obscured by its hair. It has dark tear stains immediately under its eyes. It has a single gray foot on each of its beige legs, and its tail terminates in a stubby tuft of hair.
It is a territorial Pokémon that will headbutt anybody who tries to enter its area. However, it is known in the anime not to attack persons with an afro hairdo. Its headbutts are powerful enough to derail a railway and send it flying, because to its afro, which absorbs harm. It can also completely demolish an automobile with a single Headbutt. The higher a Bouffalant’s status in the herd, the more hair it has on its head. A Bouffalant herd comprises of 20 people. A Bouffalant loses its hair from its head for unknown reasons if it ever betrays its herd.
Bouffalant is the only Pokémon known to be capable of learning the move Head Charge.
