Biology

Braviary is a huge bird Pokémon with dark red and dark blue feathers on its back and bottom. Its tail feathers are red at first, then yellow, and finally blue at the tips. Braviary has long, thick legs with yellow feet that have one finger pointing backward and three looking forward. A short, thick, black claw tips each finger.

Braviary’s beak is large and robust, with a blue cere. Braviary’s eyes are black with little white pupils on each side of the cere. Three huge white feathers sprout from above the eyes. A crimson, three-pointed motif is stretched throughout all three feathers at the base of the feathers. There are three white feathers pointing horizontally and downward on each side of Braviary’s face, springing out from beneath the feathers on its forehead. A big plume of white feathers extends most of the way down its neck below the three feathers on its head. When these traits are combined, they resemble a Native American battle bonnet.

Braviary is hostile, but for good reasons. It will battle valiantly to assist and defend its companions. It will fight even if it is harmed or has its life endangered. The more scars it has on its front, the more respect its peers have for it. However, the scars on its back will make it mocked. It has acquired the moniker “hero of the sky” for its unwavering devotion to its companions. Braviary’s valiance is aided by its strength, which allows it to lift a vehicle and fly with it. Braviary is well-known for its valor and pride. It is often used as a theme for many symbols. Corviknight, on the other hand, is favored for transportation in Galar over Braviary owing to its hotheaded and combative disposition.

Braviary’s look has been somewhat altered in Hisui. Its body is feathered in gray and white. Braviary’s tail is now in the form of a jet. The wings are formed like a white hand and have black feathers below. The head feather resembles a hat. Its plumes have transformed into purple flames with bright blue eye marks.

Hisuian Braviary, unlike their Unovan cousins, likes to dwell alone rather than in groups. During the winter, the Hisuian Braviary travels to Hisui from the north. When it hunts, it lets forth a bloodcurdling war scream to let everyone know. It can utilize its psychic abilities to generate shock waves with disturbing screeches. It employs these shock waves to paralyze prey living underwater in lakes, enabling them to float to the surface before grabbing and ripping them apart with its talons. Hisuian Braviary may utilize its mental talents to improve its sixth sense and enter a trance to gain physical strength.

Because it was one of the ten ancient Pokémon that got a blessing from Arceus, a particular Hisuian Braviary is venerated in Hisui. It is one of the Ride Pokémon that lives in Alabaster Icelands and helps people.

Hisuian Braviary is the only Pokémon known to be able to learn the move Esper Wing.
