Biology
Carracosta is a reptile Pokémon that looks like a bipedal blue sea turtle. It has a light blue stomach. Deep blue rocky formations encrusted on its face, back, and breast sides create a “mask” and shell. It has lengthy flippers with black finger-like protrusions at the tips. Carracosta has a broad tail and short, two-toed legs.
Carracosta’s flippers are very strong; one slap may create a hole in the bottom of a tanker or knock someone unconscious. It was formerly found in the water and is now thought to be extinct. To ambush animals, it hides in its shell to simulate a rock. Carracosta has extraordinarily powerful jaws that enable it to chew steel frames and boulders as well as prey, swallowing every last bit of meat, shell, or bone. Carracosta’s food permits him to create a thick and strong shell. Carracosta is an avid land and sea hunter. However, since it travels slowly on land, Carracosta takes prey into the water to finish it off. It hunts Omanyte and Omastar.
