Chesnaught is a bipedal, mammalian Pokémon with plant-like characteristics. It has fluffy white fur on its tummy and a beard-like fringe on its face. It features a little pink nose, a three-pointed patch of brown hair on its short snout, and four pointed teeth. On top of its head is a beige armor plate, comparable to a helmet. It has a distinctive domed, armor-like shell, comparable to a chestnut. The armor is beige and has four big spines protruding from the back. The armor is edged with red and green bands, with the green on the outside. A spine protrudes from the armor above each of Chesnaught’s shoulders, which are linked by a green breastplate. Its body is a similar hue as the shell, and its long limbs and tail are banded with armor plates. Green armor protects the upper surfaces of the tail and arms, and each arm bears two tiny spines. It has three clawed fingers on each hand and foot. Its hands may merge together to form a spike-covered “shield”.

Chesnaught is famous for its tank-like body, which can topple a 50-ton vehicle. It can withstand the blast of a bomb if it assumes a protective position with its hands shielding its face. It will not be afraid to utilize its powerful physique to protect its friends from harm.
