Dewpider is a spider-like Pokémon with a water bubble on its head. It has a dark gray head and most of its abdomen, while its thorax and six legs are pale green. Three of its legs are normally employed to secure the bubble on its head, and all of its legs are narrow with a knobby junction in the center. The green on its thorax continues into three triangle marks on its abdomen. Several triangular flaps stretch upward and connect to the bubble above its head. The head itself features enormous light blue eyes with darker pupils and sclerae, two blue bumps on top, and a spinneret-like bright green mouth. There has a spinneret on the apex of its abdomen, which the anime shows can produce both silk and water bubbles.
Because Dewpider can only breathe oxygen that has been dissolved in water, the bubble above its head permits it to breathe on land. Furthermore, the bubble protects its delicate head and may be bashed into both prey and opponents. When two Dewpiders collide, their bubbles are compared, and the one with the smaller bubble moves out of the way.
Dewpider is part of a two-member family.
