Dragalge is an aquatic Pokémon that looks like a sea dragon. Its body has a curving shape that resembles the number three. The sides of its body are a bright purple with delicate vertical lines, while the remainder of its body is a drab brown. It has a bright purple patch on its face that surrounds its red eyes. It features a tubular, upturned nose and a slender appendage on the rear of its skull. It has a crimson, leaf-like crest on top of its head, as well as two brownish-green antennae. Each side of its body has a narrow, leaf-like appendage, and its tailfin is likewise shaped like a huge leaf. It has three tiny spikes on its back.
Dragalge is a territorial Pokémon that will spew poison at anybody who intrudes on its area. Its toxin is potent enough to melt metal tanker hulls. As a consequence, ships going through the waters where it resides are fabled to never return. It hunts by concealing itself in seaweed and then ambushing animals with a toxic liquid spray. It is said to get along nicely with Dhelmise. Dragalge may generate Dragon energy by absorbing sunlight via its head plume.
