Hoppip Community Day for Pokemon Go in February has arrived. The event begins today and includes a new uncommon Pokemon to capture, a new Community Day-exclusive move to learn, and a few additional in-game goodies. Everything you need to know about the event is included here.
When is February’s Community Day?
The February Community Day is on Saturday, February 12. The event will last six hours, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time.
February’s featured Pokemon: Hoppip
Hoppip, the grass/flying Pokemon, is the highlight of February’s Community Day. Hoppip will occur in the wild considerably more often than normal during the event, and you’ll have a greater chance of seeing Shiny Hoppip.
There will also be a paid Special Research tale with extra opportunities to grab Hoppip. A ticket to enter the research tale will cost $1 and will be available ahead of the event in Pokemon Go’s item store.
Event move: Acrobatics
During February’s Community Day, your Pokemon will be able to learn a new event-exclusive move in addition to increased Hoppip spawning. Before 7 p.m. local time, every Skiploom you develop into a Jumpluff will learn the flying-type Charged Attack Acrobatics.
Other event bonuses
To round off February’s Community Day incentives, any incense and lure modules you use during the event will be active for three hours instead of the normal two. You’ll also get three times as much Stardust for capturing Pokemon. Finally, a special Community Day package will be available for purchase in the item store. The bundle costs 1,280 PokeCoins and comes with the following items:
- 50 Ultra Balls
- 2 Super Incubators
- 6 Star Pieces
- 1 Elite Fast TM
Meanwhile, the Lunar New Year promotion in Pokemon Go continues until February 7, and the legendary Pokemon Regirock has returned to five-star raids for a short period. Everything else going on in Pokemon Go next month can be found in our February events roundup.
February 2022 is rapidly approaching, and Pokemon GO gamers have a plethora of fun events to look forward to this month. The entire February 2022 itinerary of events is now out, and trainers will be busy during the next several weeks. In addition to the aforementioned limited events, features, and incentives, the month will offer a Community Day event for trainers to enjoy.
Hoppip Community Day will begin in Pokemon GO on Saturday, February 12, 2022, and will give some additional special incentives for participating trainers. Even if you aren’t interested in Hoppip or its sparkly version, there will be some additional incentives accessible. The 3x Catch Stardust benefit is one of the most appealing bonuses in the Community Day cycle, so players won’t want to pass up this chance to stock up on the game’s most valuable resource.
Hoppip isn’t the most popular Pokemon, but an intriguing special move that will be accessible during its evolution might help it attract a PvP audience. It’s unlikely to significantly alter the PoGO metagame, but it’ll be a useful tool to have in the future. Collectors are always drawn in by the higher shine rates during Community Day activities.

Start and End Times
From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
Beginning in February 2019, Community Day activities will always take place on local time, regardless of where you play. This alters somewhat during the winter months since time is divided between hemispheres rather than time zones. However, it seems that we are back in time at this moment.
Evolve Skiploom (Hoppip’s Evolution) during the event or up to two hours thereafter to get a Jumpluff that understands the Charged Attack Acrobatics.
If you want to obtain the exclusive move, be sure you develop inside the current time frame (within two hours of the event concluding).
A unique one-time-purchase Community Day Box with 50 Ultra Balls, two Super Incubators, six Star Pieces, and an Elite Fast TM will be available for 1,280 PokéCoins.
A free bundle of 30 Ultra Balls will be offered in the store. Make sure you get it while you’re there!

You may access the Spheal Community Day-exclusive Special Research tale, The Spheal Deal! for $1.00 (or the corresponding price tier in your native currency).

Niantic seldom confirms the shining possibility until after the event has begun, so keep a watch out for shiny Hoppip while hunting. They’ve appeared at every previous Community Day event, and we fully anticipate to see them again this month.
Hoppip’s big celebration day is just a few weeks away, so make any necessary changes to in-game inventory and storage space immediately. In the next weeks, we should hear more about what additional activities will be arriving during the Season of Heritage’s last days. Keep an eye out for additional Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates in the near future. Until then, trainers, best of luck!
Hoppip Community Day 2022: My Thoughts and a Recap
This February, Hoppip will be the focus of Pokémon Go Community Day. Every month, a Community Day is conducted that focuses on a single Pokémon. This Pokémon’s spawn rate will be greatly raised for six hours at a period, making it easy to get multiples and grind for sweets. Not only that, but Shiny Hoppip may make an appearance. The Shiny Chances are 1/25 on Community Day, compared to the standard 1/500 odds.
Hoppip Community Day will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Trainers who develop their Skiploom into a Jumpluff within two hours of the event’s conclusion will learn the Charged Attack Acrobatics. It does 110 damage to trainers and 100 damage to raids and gym fights. The movements taught on Community Day are much more potent than the others in its pool. A premium Special Research job is also available for purchase.
The ‘A Hop, Skip, and Jump Away’ Special Research in Pokémon Go will cost $1 and will provide trainers with new tasks to do throughout the day. Every assignment will be tied to Hoppip in some manner. Completing them increases your chances of encountering its Shiny variant. Trainers may also gain XP to level up and new gear for combat.
Every Active Bonus During Hoppip Community Day in Pokémon Go
Trainers should take advantage of every active benefit throughout the event as they may help them acquire extra Hoppip sweets since this Pokémon Go event is only live for six hours.
- Bonus Hoppip XL Candy for catching Skiplooms in parks.
- Incenses will last for three hours.
- Lure Modules will last for three hours.
- Skiploom will appear more frequently in parks.
- Take snapshots for a special surprise.
- Up to three free raid passes during the event or up to two hours after it concludes.
The greatest way to enjoy Hoppip Community Day is to collect as many Shiny Hoppip as possible. Trainers should try to catch at least six of them, three to complete the evolutionary line and three more to keep for future trades. Community Day Pokémon and their moves are very uncommon, and they are usually used for bartering transactions with other people. To find as many Shiny Pokémon as possible, just flee from any encounter that does not feature a Shiny Pokémon. While trainers should utilize Pinap Berries while catching Pokémon in Pokémon Go to get additional candy, fleeing will save time between encounters.
Trainers may rest and enjoy the additional advantages after the six Hoppip have been captured. Shiny Hoppip is a bright green Pokémon, while Shiny Skiploom and Shiny Jumpluff are pink and purple, respectively. Both will emerge during the Pokémon Go Johto Tour event. Trainers will be able to discover every Johto Pokémon’s Shiny form for the first time here. A Shiny Hoppip may also be found outside of Community Day, although it’s quite uncommon.
