Feraligatr is a crocodilian Pokémon with blue scales that is bipedal. It has robust jaws that are lined with many sharp teeth. When its jaws are closed, three teeth are visible: two in its lower jaw and one in its upper jaw. It has red eyes with black marks surrounding them and ridges above them, and a yellow lower jaw. Its body is covered in three crimson spines, each with three points: one on top of its head, one between its shoulders, and one towards the tip of its tail. It also has a number of huge, rectangular scales on its limbs, knees, tail, and waist. It has a stooped back with ridges behind the shoulders and hips. A yellow, V-shaped pattern on its lower torso reaches up to its thighs; a thin line runs across the middle of the marking. It has five clawed fingers on its limbs and three clawed toes on its feet.
Feraligatr opens its enormous jaws to scare its opponents and aggressively shakes its head while clamping down on rivals or prey. It has been seen moving on all fours since it has difficulties maintaining its weight out of the water. However, because to its muscular rear legs, it is nimble and swift while hunting or fighting. Feraligatr is seldom spotted along the water’s edge.
Feraligatr is part of a three-member family.
