Biology
Fletchinder is an avian Pokémon with orange and black plumage. It features a short, pointed crest on the back of its head, a sharp, black beak, black eyes with yellow mask-like patterns behind them, and a small, pointed beak. It has a reddish-orange top side and a gray belly. Where the two colors merge, it has a flame pattern on its breast. Its sharp, black wings have yellow tips and undersides. It has black legs with sharp talons and two toes pointing forward and one facing back. It has two white, V-shaped patterns towards the tip of its long black tail feathers. It features a two-pointed tail with another feather poking out of the base on either side, similar to the fletching on the end of an arrow.
Fletchinder’s belly has a flame sac. It hunts by lighting tall grass and swooping down on insect Pokémon that try to flee the flames. After being caught, the prey is prepared before being devoured. It can fly at greater speeds as its internal fire steadily warms up. It is aggressive, even against its own species. Fletchinder are very territorial and aggressive. It often battles with its own species for access to feeding sites.
