Garchomp is a bipedal, draconian Pokémon with a dark blue body. It has red from the lower mouth to the middle of the abdomen, including the undersides of its limbs. A gold patch extends below the red on its abdomen, and a golden star form adorns the tip of its nose. Garchomp possesses horn-like appendages that look like jet or aircraft engines, giving it the appearance of a hammerhead shark. These enable it to detect prey from a great distance. Its enormous mouth is filled with razor-sharp teeth. Three white talons cover the feet, and each arm bears a single big white claw for a hand. Curved fins develop from Garchomp’s limbs, forming wings that let him to fly. Garchomp also has a big dorsal fin and a tail fin that looks like a shark tailfin. The dorsal fin of the male has a notch on it. Small white spikes sprout from its top arms and legs, and the sides of its neck have gill-like holes. The eyes are dark, with black sclerae and gold irises.
When Garchomp Mega Evolves, some of its traits, especially its head and shoulders, become more angular. Each side of its belly produces a row of five tooth-like spikes, while its knees sprout crimson spikes. The claws and fins on its arms melt as a result of the overwhelming Mega Evolution energy and change into keen, crimson blades. Garchomp is enraged at the sight of its winglike fins dissolving into scythes since it takes great pleasure in them. Mega Garchomp’s scythes can sever the ground, and it savagely shreds up its opponents with them.
Garchomp can soar as fast as a jet aircraft to get its prey, making for a spectacular sight to see. It may go both above and below earth. It preys on bird Pokémon and has been known to consume whole flocks of them. It sometimes fights Salamence in the air as they compete for food. It returns to the den before its body can cool down after grabbing the victim. Its tiny scales minimize drag for easier flying, yet their sharp edges hurt opponents that hit it directly. It may utilize its protuberances as sensors to locate specific prey. Garchomp lives in caves and is seldom spotted in the wild. It may also be found in volcanic mountains. Garchomp is defined as a wild creature that should be approached with utmost care.
