Biology Info

Golem is a bipedal tortoise-like boulder Pokémon with a spherical body coated with armored green stone. Its body is so tough that not even dynamite can scratch it. Its head protrudes from the shell’s center. The head features a flat nose, two pointed lower jaw teeth, and crimson eyes. It has short arms with three claws and two legs with four claws in front and one in behind. The hue of the head and limbs is light brown. Golems increase in size by losing their skin once a year. When exposed to air, the discarded shell hardens and crumbles, returning to the earth. However, as it ages, it stops shedding and moss forms on its shell. Golem’s shell is hollow, as shown on the Pocket Monsters Carddass Trading Cards.

According to the anime, a Golem may retract its head and limbs within its shell and roll at great speeds. It is perilous to do this since it cannot see and may collide with or run over anything in its path. To keep it from rolling into people’s houses downhill, grooves are cut into the mountain slopes to redirect the moving Golem’s path. It is quite rare in the wild. It may, however, be found in hilly areas.

Golems in the Alola area have considerably shorter forearms with two claws. The claws on the foot are also limited to two. Its face collects iron sand, which becomes a mustache, brows, and a big black beard. Two huge, black boulders protrude from the top of its body, with a smaller rock in between, making the shape of a cannon. Three golden spots adorn the inner edges of the bigger boulders. The gun stops them from rolling into a ball as readily as their Kantonian counterpart. The little rock may be fired by Alolan Golem utilizing magnetism. The rock will be electrically charged, causing shocks across the impact zone. Even a little hit might cause numbness and fainting. If no rocks are available, it will instead shoot a nearby Geodude.
