Golisopod #768

Biology

Golisopod is a huge arthropod Pokémon with a humanly slumped stance. It has a light purple body with silver armor plating on it. It has a tiny head and vivid purple antennae that join with its mandibles to create a mask over its eyes. The pupils are pale gray and the pupils are black and angular. Several armor plates run behind its head and down its back, each with a lengthy protrusion curving up from either side. Each plate has a tiny, greenish triangular mark in the middle. The majority of its lower torso is exposed, although there is more armor around its waist and smooth portions encasing its thighs and feet. Each of its foot has a single black claw. The Golisopod has three arms. The two leading pairs are slimmer, coated in a silver exoskeleton, and each has a single black claw. The arms on the back are longer and have significantly bigger forearms. Both of these enormous forearms feature three overlapping armored plates on the back and two black claws. The plate closest to its claws is simple, while the final two contain two greenish, triangular marks apiece.

Golisopods have a diamond-hard shell and retractable claws that can slice saltwater in half. While it is skilled in fighting, it prefers to contemplate in the depths of beach caves. It is sometimes accompanied with Wimpod. Golisopod will go to any length to win a battle. Golisopod will utilize the short claws on its front legs to finish off its opponent when it perceives an opportunity. Grapploct is Golisopod’s natural predator or victim, depending on who wins the struggle. First Impression was Generation VII’s defining move.
