Biology

Graveler is a boulder-like bipedal Pokémon. It has a rocky crest over its tiny eyes and mouth and a spherical body covered in little bumps. It has four arms, each of which has three fingers. It usually keeps its second set of arms tucked towards its breast. It was shown in Pokémon Snap that, despite having legs, it can transform into a legless form. This provides it with the capacity to float.

Graveler’s primary mode of mobility is rolling, owing to its poor walking speed. It often rolls down mountain slopes at rates reaching 60 mph, smashing items in its path and stopping by crashing into massive boulders if it gets too fast. It will, however, detonate if it rolls into a river. Graveler are said to be free and careless in general, not worrying if portions of themselves break off since they have the power to regenerate themselves over time. Graveler climbs a mountain from base to top while munching on rocks. It slides down to the bottom after reaching the summit. Graveler dwell in horizontal tunnels hewn out of steep rock walls.

Graveler seems identical to its ordinary cousin in the Alola area, but with a silvery shine. It has two toes on each foot rather of three and lacks identifiable digits on its upper limbs. There are many tiny, yellowish crystals strewn around its body, as well as magnetized iron sand. Above its eyes, over the tops of its upper limbs, and on the sides of its face, this black sand forms crystal-like patterns. Alolan Graveler feeds on dravite, which is responsible for the yellow crystals on its body and its electrical talents. It often battles with others for food, and when two collide, it produces a flash of light and a booming sound, earning it the nickname “the earth’s fireworks.” Alolan Graveler, like its Kantonian cousin, rolls down mountain routes; however, instead of flattening obstructions as it rolls, it zaps them with lightning and sends them flying.
