Grimer #089

Biology

Grimer is a slimy, amorphous Pokémon that was created from sludge in unclean streams or seabeds exposed to moon radiation. It has two huge pupils in its eyes and a gaping mouth with a gray tongue. It does not have visible legs, but it does have two arms with three fingers on each hand. Its purple sludge body includes a variety of unpleasant bacteria that are so strong that they devastate soil and make it unfit for plant growth. Its whole body is continually spewing a bacteria-rich fluid. Grimer will die if it runs out of internal bacteria. During transit, pieces of it often fall off and produce new Grimer. It develops new toxic chemicals when mixed with another Grimer.

Grimer, due to its lack of a solid shape, can fit into any nook or crack with relative ease. It utilizes this to go into sewage pipes and feed on the dirty effluent. Its population varies according on the availability of trash, which is Grimer’s major source of nutrition. It may be found in polluted lakes and streams, as well as in towns and industries where there is rubbish and industrial waste. Grimer is currently risking extinction as a result of environmental improvements and a decline in their dietary supply of trash.

Grimer was sent to Alola to cope with the growing rubbish created by the region’s inhabitants. Alolan Grimer now consumes solid waste instead of sludge, which has altered its body composition and shape. Alolan Grimer has a green body with a line of yellow sludge running down its lower lip and around behind its head, a brilliant blue tongue, and little black crescent-shaped gaps behind its eyes. It also possesses two sharp “teeth” in its upper jaw that are really crystallized poisons from its food. Although it is unknown how to degrade these deadly crystals, direct contact with them is recognized to be hazardous. When these crystals fall out of Alolan Grimer’s flesh, lethal toxins pour forth. Alolan Grimer, unlike Kantonian Grimer, does not emit a terrible stink since it creates and keeps its poisons inside its body.

Around one hundred Alolan Grimer may generally be spotted residing around waste-disposal facilities in Alola, aiding residents with rubbish disposal. Alolan Grimer is always hungry and has to consume garbage. If there is no trash available, it will devour other made items instead. In addition to garbage, Alolan Grimer preys on Trubbish and Garbodor; its introduction to Alola reduced their numbers in the area.
