Heliolisk is a bipedal Pokémon with the appearance of a yellow lizard. The majority of its head is black, with a yellow lower jaw. It has blue eyes with a spike on top of each. A black frill with orange spikes around the rim covers its neck. If necessary, this frill may be lifted to frame its head. It has black hands and feet with three digits each, and an orange band with triangle marks around each leg. It has a long, tapering orange tail that becomes black at the tip.
Simply by fanning up its frill, Heliolisk can create enough energy to power a building. It can create enough energy to power a whole city when its frill is flared while basking in the sun. This electricity may be utilized to activate its muscles, increasing leg strength. This enables it to run 100 yards in five seconds. There was an ancient desert tribe in Galar that greatly valued the Heliolisk since riches had come with them. Electrify was the trademark move of Generation VIII before it.
