Ho-Oh #250

Biology

Ho-Oh is an avian Pokémon that looks like a cross between a phoenix and a peacock. It has gold and red feathers with yellow tail feathers, a white underbelly, and green feathers at the tips of its wings. Ho-Oh has a green neck stripe, a yellow beak, black rings around its red eyes, and a yellow feathered crest on its head. Ho-wings Oh’s are prismatic, thus he leaves a rainbow trail behind him. It has four toes and long talons on its darkly colored feet and legs.

Ho-Oh is regarded as the sky’s protector and has the mythological ability to restore the dead. Prior to Generation VI, Ho-Oh was the only Pokémon known to be able to learn the move Sacred Fire. When it soars, its large wings are reported to generate vivid, colorful rainbows. The few witnesses to Ho-Oh are guaranteed everlasting pleasure. Ho-Oh used to sit on the tops of many towers around the Johto area, including the Bell Tower until it was destroyed by fire, and the Goldenrod Tower in ancient times. It is now likely flying around the skies of the planet in search of a Trainer with a pure heart.
