Shadow Pokémon are not included in our suggested lists since they are very costly to level up. However, if you have access to the Shadow forms of any of these Pokémon, they are a very effective counter and will strike harder than their non-Shadow counterparts.

According to our simulator and real player reports, Focus Blast is Mewtwo’s most challenging moveset if you’re Tyranitar heavy. Despite the fact that Focus Blast does not benefit from STAB, Mewtwo’s damage output is so great that it will OHKO virtually any counter that is weak to Fighting-type strikes.
