Joltik is a little arachnid Pokémon. It has four legs with blue conical feet at the tips. Its ovoid body is fully coated in yellow fur, with prominent tufts protruding from either side of its face, directly above each eye, and on its lower back. Joltik has four blue eyes. The two bigger eyes on its face are situated relatively widely apart and have black pupils. The two smaller basic eyes are located somewhat higher up on its face, between the first set. Joltik’s mandibles tip downward and rest at the bottom of its face, like tufts of hair.
Joltik is one of the shortest Pokémon, at at 4 inches (0.1 meters). It is too little to make its own power, so it clings to bigger Pokémon and feeds on their static charge. It often likes to cling to Yamper’s hindquarters. It will also infiltrate homes and draw power from electrical plugs. It retains all of the energy it takes in an electric pouch on its body. Joltik, as shown in the anime, is not very aggressive, but will defend itself if provoked. It has been proved that if Joltik cannot locate a source of energy, it will be immobile and in grave danger.
