Biology
Kabutops is a skeleton bipedal prehistoric arthropod Pokémon. It features a flat, half-circular head with two tiny eyes on each side and a point on each side. Except for its light gray breast and belly, it is mainly brown. It has a ridge along its back, three flat spines on each side, and a flat, pointed tail. Instead of hands, it has massive, pointed, gray scythes on its forearms. Its brown legs lead to little feet with two huge gray claws.
Kabutops was in the midst of transitioning into a land dweller before it became extinct, as shown by alterations in its gills and legs. This shift is assumed to be the result of its prey also relocating onto land. In its natural habitat, Kabutops could tuck its limbs and swim at speeds of up to 29 knots. It sliced adversaries and drank their interior fluids with its keen scythes. Other Pokémon devour any leftovers left behind by Kabutops. It is unclear what caused Kabutops to go extinct.
Kabuto's family may be discovered in the game as a shiny.
