Biology

Kakuna is a yellow, insect-like Pokémon. Kakuna has a dome-shaped head and black, triangular eyes with white pupils that shine. In the centre of its body, it bears two scythe-like arms. When it is on the verge of developing, its body emits heat, making it warm to the touch. Kakuna sits still and waits for evolution, frequently dangling from tree branches by long threads of silk. When struck, it may, however, expand its poison barbs. Kakunas build their nests in temperate woods and foggy forested places. It will also nest near the mouths of tunnels and caverns on occasion, as shown in Pokémon Snap.

 What counters Kakuna?

Kakuna is a Bug/Poison type Pokémon, which makes it weak against FlyingRockFire and Psychic moves.

The 5 strongest Pokémon you can use to beat Kakuna are:

  • Calyrex (Shadow Rider),
  • Mewtwo,
  • Hoopa (Unbound),
  • Deoxys (Attack),
  • Reshiram.
