Larvitar is a little green reptile with rough skin. It has a short, rounded snout and triangular, black markings below and on the upper corners of its red eyes. Its diamond-shaped belly is covered with red scales, and it has numerous little holes in it. It has no digits on its short limbs and just one toe on each foot. It features a conical tail encircled by a ring of plate-like scales, giving it the appearance of a tunnel-boring machine. Larvitar is born deep down, far away from its mother. It develops by devouring dirt and will reach the pupal stage after absorbing an entire mountain’s worth of earth. Larvitar like to reside in mountains, hills, and caves.
