Lileep #345

Biology

Lileep is a plant-like Pokémon with eight dark-tipped, pink petal-like tentacles sprouting from the top of its head. Two bright, golden eyes shine through the pitch-black aperture. The rest of its head is purple, with yellow eyespots that resemble targets. The yellow stem connects the head to the body. The body is purple and semi-spherical in shape. Four stubby roots secure this Pokémon to the rocks on the sea bottom where it lives.

It used to live in warm seas in ancient times. It uses its tentacles to mimic seaweed in order to lure prey, which is then consumed whole after becoming entangled. Lileep has been extinct for 100 million years, but specimens from Root Fossils can be revived.
