Biology
Mandibuzz is a vulture-like Pokémon that looks a lot like a turkey vulture. It features a naked, pink head and neck, a black beak with a notched tip, and red eyes. Above its eyes are black lashes or eyeliner-like lines. From the rear of its skull, a long brown tuft with a bone in the centre protrudes. It has a tan ruff around its neck, as well as shaggy darker brown wings with gray tips. Mandibuzz has shaggy brown tail feathers as well. It has black talons on its pink feet. It has adorned itself with bones, forming a skirt from a mouth with sharp fangs. When Mandibuzz rests on its Vullaby offspring inside its nest, the bones surrounding Vullaby’s lower body unite to create an upside-down head with sharp fangs. As if there were fashion trends among Mandibuzz, different forms of bones come and go.
Mandibuzz lives in nests formed of bones that it discovers. After Mandibuzz swoops down from above, weak prey like Cubone is carried back to this nest. Mandibuzz is a female-only species, despite dressing beautifully in bones in an ineffective effort to attract partners.
