Biology

Mantyke is a Pokémon that looks like a manta ray. It has a spherical body and broad, flat fins. It has a dark blue back and a pale blue underside. On its back are two red dots with white edges and a light-blue, curving line. These marks, which vary somewhat in each location, provide the overall image of a smiling face. On top of its head, it has two long, curved antennae and black eyes with eyelash-like patterns beneath.

Despite its outward look, Mantyke is a capable swimmer. It uses its antennas to detect ocean currents. Mantyke is a peaceful Pokémon that can be found swimming near the surface of the water alongside schools of Remoraid. It often collaborates with Remoraid to repel intruders. Mantyke will ultimately develop into Mantine after spending time with the Remoraid schools. Mantyke are relatively simple to tame due to their affable disposition. Mantyke are also quite popular in beach activities such as swimming trips. Due to the frigid waters of the location, the Mantyke that reside in Galar seem to move more slowly.

When fighting Pokémon in Gyms, Mantyke’s greatest moves are Bubble and Aerial Ace. This moveset has the most overall DPS and is also the finest for PVP encounters.
