Mawile #303
Biology
Mawile is a light yellow humanoid Pokémon that is small and bipedal. It has black three-fingered hands and two-toed feet. It has crimson eyes and long, black ear-like extensions on either side of its skull. Its legs are covered in a thick covering that resembles a hakama or a pair of trousers. Its most distinguishing characteristic is a pair of huge black jaws that emerge from the rear of its skull. The upper surface of these jaws has a bright, oval-shaped mark. They have 10 sharp, metallic teeth, six on top and four on bottom. Despite the fact that the jaws are essentially changed steel horns, Mawile may articulate them at will, biting foes with enough energy to shatter an iron beam. A large pink tongue protrudes from the jaws. This tongue is unable to taste, forcing Mawile to consume items it dislikes using his jaws.
Mega Mawile has two sets of jaws that protrude from the rear of its head, each with a spiky tuft of hair. It also seems to be able to operate the jaws independently. The ear-like appendages on its skull are longer and feature two points at the tips. Its legs have lengthened, and its “pants” have become pink. Its arms have been transformed into thick sleeves with magenta patterns around the wrists.
Mawile is most often seen in caves. It exploits its unthreatening look to fool opponents, then strikes with its massive jaws, sometimes devouring its victim whole. Mawile frequently fights with its back to the attacker in order to make greater use of its jaws. Mega Mawile can grab and tear apart prey with both of its jaws. These jaws thrash furiously around.
