Alolan Ninetales
- Alolan Ninetales was released at the start of the release of Friends System on June 21st, 2018.
- Shiny form of Alolan Ninetales was released at the start of the 3rd Anniversary on June 28th, 2019.
- Alolan Ninetales can be acquired by evolution only.
Biology
Ninetales is a canine quadruped with thick, lustrous golden-white fur. It has a short, fluffy crest on top of its head and a little mane of thicker fur around its neck. It has three-toed paws on its tiny legs and nine long tails with light orange ends. It features crimson eyes, pointy ears, and a black nose with a triangular shape.
While Ninetales is clever enough to comprehend human speech, it is a spiteful Pokémon that has been known to punish people who abuse it. It can live for 1,000 years because to the energy contained inside its nine tails, each of which is supposed to possess a unique magical ability. Flames emitted from its lips may captivate an opponent, and its glowing crimson eyes are thought to grant it mind control. The animation has shown that it can swim. Ninetales are seldom discovered in the wild due to their development through Evolution stone, yet they may be found in grasslands.
Ninetales appears differently in the Alola area. It has a light blue coat with more flowing and wispier fur. White is seen on the tips of its tails and crest, as well as the bottom portions of its legs. Its crest is longer, and its nine tails are less noticeable from one another. Furthermore, it has bigger blue eyes and little tufts of hair in front of its ears.
Alolan Ninetales dwells atop Alola's snow-capped Mount Lanakila, which some see as hallowed territory. As a result, it is regarded as a divine messenger or divinity. Alolan Ninetales has a compassionate demeanor and is known to assist lost humans in distress, albeit this is done mostly to keep them away of its region. It will punish any danger to its Vulpix pack. Its fur can form ice crystals, which it may employ for both offensive and protection. Ice crystals may be used as a barrier or formed into balls that can be shot like bullets with enough force to fracture rock.
