Biology

Noivern is a giant draconic Pokémon that looks like a bat. Its main color is black, with a purple underside and greenish blue wing membranes. It features a purple lower jaw, a red V-shaped growth on its snout, two fang-like projections on its upper lip, yellow eyes, and a greenish-turquoise tint between the V-shaped growth and the eyes. Its enormous, teardrop-shaped ears include internal rings of blue-green and black that resemble loudspeakers. It has a fluffy mane of white hair around its neck that is longer in the rear. Its wings are separated into segments by two black wing fingers and feature three red claws on the middle joint. The terminal portion of the wing on the back is purple. Noivern has two toes on each foot and a crimson, claw-like protrusion on top of each toe. It has a long, whip-like tail with two spines towards the tip and a blue-green underbelly.

Noivern is notorious for its ferocious temper, but when presented with its favorite ripe fruit, it turns calm. Its ears can generate ultrasonic waves powerful enough to crush enormous rocks. It utilizes these waves to move freely through the darkness. [1] Noivern is also noted for being harsh, teasing opponents who cannot see in the dark. It kills adversaries using ultrasonic waves and its teeth.

Availability

• Noivern was released at the start of Kalos Celebration Event on December 2^nd, 2020.
• Shiny form of Noivern was released at the start of Halloween 2022 on October 20^th, 2022.
• Noivern can be acquired by evolution only.

When fighting Pokémon in Gyms, Noivern’s greatest moves are Air Slash and Draco Meteor. This moveset has the most overall DPS and is also the finest for PVP encounters.
