List of Pokemon GO Research Breakthrough Rewards Guide
List of Research Breakthrough rewards in Pokemon GO
Field research assignments are acquired one at a time by spinning a PokéStop and will need you to discover certain animals, engage in fights, and do other things. Read This List of Pokemon GO Research Breakthrough rewards Guide !
PokéStops will offer you a new mission every day, and each sort of quest may include a variety of prizes ranging from previously Raid-exclusive consumables like TMs and Rare Candy to common goods like Poké Balls.
Some of these mission rewards even allow you to capture a mystery Pokémon. There’s nothing unique here, however there are some uncommon and rare Pokémon, like as Tangela and Chansey, depending on the mission.
At midnight local time, one more research mission will be added to your list, in addition to those obtained at PokéStops. If you have a complete roster of research, you’ll get a fourth regardless – but if you still have four the next evening, no more will be added.

It’s also worth noting that the available tasks and accompanying prizes change on a monthly basis. Furthermore, certain tasks may have alternative prizes, such as ‘Make 5 Nice Throws,’ which may provide you Balls or the opportunity to capture a mysterious monster. So, if you’re looking for a certain Pokémon, make sure you acquire the variety with the monster caught as a prize.
Finally, once you take up a mission, you have the option to discard it and capture another by spinning another Pokéstop. You may also accomplish as many as you like in a day, so return to a PokéStop when you have enough room in your inventory to begin the quest. If you spin the same Pokéstop again, you’ll receive the same quest – Pokéstops give out predefined prizes that are typically customized to their region and are refreshed every day at midnight. If you desire a fresh mission, you must spin another stop.

The nicest part about these Research Breakthrough captures is that they cannot escape – they have a 0% possibility of fleeing – so the pressure is off. It has the same catch rate as usual, so expect it to break out of your balls.
This means you may utilize Pinap Berries or even use it to build up some of the more difficult throwing-based Special Research streaks without fear of it fleeing.
It also comes with high IVs, as if the Pokémon was encountered in a Raid or Egg. It always emerges at level 15, as do other mystery Pokémon obtained via Field Research awards.

Breakthrough in Field Research Shiny rates[ps2id id=’Breakthrough in Field Research Shiny rates’ target=”/]
Pokemon encounters through Field Research and Breakthrough prizes, like most species, have a Shiny rate of around 1 in 450. While not the greatest odds, it is still better than the vast majority of mainstream RPGs.
Make sure you don’t miss a single day of Field Research if you want to boost your chances of discovering a Shiny variant, since you’ll receive up to four Research Breakthrough encounters this way.
Trivia[ps2id id=’Trivia’ target=”/]
- As with Pokémon encountered as a reward for completing a Field Research task, Pokémon encountered for completing a Research Breakthrough will be level 15.
- The Pokémon encountered in Research Breakthrough is not set until claiming. If one holds off obtaining the last stamp and Breakthrough, it is possible to wait till the encounter Pokémon changes to immediately obtain the new Pokémon available.
- During Season of Discovery, the XP reward was doubled (6000).
- An extra Remote Raid Pass was included in Research Breakthrough rewards during June to July 2021.
- Originally Mega Energy for Steelix was going to be included during January 2022 but an unforeseen issue prevented this happening. Therefore it was given in Timed Research instead.[43]
