Primarina is a sea Pokémon that looks like a hybrid of a sea lion and a mermaid. The majority of its body is white, save for a long, blue, fish-like tail. It features a long snout with a big, pink nose, brilliant blue eyes with long white lashes, and long light blue hair flowing behind its head. On its brow is a tiara-like structure made of pearls with a pink sea star in one corner and a thin, translucent blue fin reaching back over its hair. Two pearl threads hold its hair back in a ponytail. This ponytail, as shown in the games and anime, gets briefly undone when specific actions are performed. Three fins, identical to the one on its crown, may be found on its body: one that drapes over its shoulders and chest, one around its waist where the fishtail starts, and one towards the tip of its tail. It has three digits on its long front fins. Primarina has a long fish-like tail with little pointed pink fins around its hips. Its tail fins are white, and it can use them as feet to stand.
Primarina’s primary weapons are water balloons and her voice. Trainers should prioritize its upkeep since its voice is critical to its fighting strategy. The song has been handed down through generations. Its voice controls the discharge of water balloons while it dances. The glittering balloons make a lovely spectacle in the moonlight. Some of the balloons, however, are explosive and may be ignited by contact. This theatrical Pokémon views every combat as a stage and teases opponents by using non-explosive balloons as platforms.
Primarina is the only Pokémon known to be able to learn the move Sparkling Aria through leveling up. Primarina is also the only Pokémon known to use the Z-Move Oceanic Operetta.
