The Pokémon Company and Niantic have announced a multi-part partnership to commemorate Pokémon Go's fifth anniversary and the Pokémon Trading Card Game's 25th anniversary.
To kick off the collaboration, a unique Pokémon TCG card based on Pokémon Go's Professor Willow is being given out as a free present with the purchase of certain Pokémon Go items on the Pokémon Center website.

The promo card, a variation of the traditional Professor's Research Trainer card, has a unique code that players may use to redeem Special Research in Pokémon Go. Meltan, other rare Pokémon, and a slew of extra goods will be available in the Special Research.

In Pokemon Go, how can you get Professor's Research Special Research?
To get the TCG Special Research, users must first have Professor Willow's Pokemon Card. The collector's item has a one-of-a-kind code that must be input into the mobile game.
Thankfully, obtaining the uncommon item isn't too tough if you live in the United States, since it is given away for free with the purchase of specific goods on the Pokemon Center.

Step 1: Visit the Pokemon Center and purchase one of the goods listed on this page.
Step 2: Customers will get the Professor Willow Pokemon card in the mail after purchasing Pokemon Go goods.
Step 3: Open the item and check for the special code on the front of the Willow card.
Step 4: Redeem the code on the Niantics website, which can be found here. Make sure you're signed in to your Pokemon Go account before entering the code on that screen.
Step 5: After redeeming the code, the Special Research will be added to your game immediately. That's all there is to it!

The one-of-a-kind Trading Card Game crossover adventure became online on July 1st, 2021. Fortunately, once a player obtains the task, it does not expire, giving Trainers plenty of time to finish it.
Every Pokemon Costume in Pokemon Go With Go Fest beginning on July 17th, we suggest completing the majority of the objectives during the annual event. While the Special Research has no expiration date, the codes expire on August 1, 2023, so be sure you redeem them before they expire.
