Biology
Raikou is a yellow tiger-like quadruped with black stripes and a white bottom. It features a narrow, bright blue tail with acute angles at the end and a spark-shaped structure. The majority of its face is covered in thick, white fur, with shorter yellow hair around its red eyes. Raikou has a bright blue “X” muzzle and a black mask with two bumps covering its forehead, nose, and ears. Raikou has two large fangs that give it the look of a saber-toothed cat. Its huge claws merge into a single point and never retract. In front of its thighs, extra fur drapes from its torso. Raikou has a mane over its back that looks like dull purple rain clouds and lets it to discharge lightning bolts.
Raikou can fly by producing storm clouds, as shown in the anime.
It is found to be wary of people, however it may build friendships with those that assist it. Raikou usually appears during thunderstorms and when other Pokémon of the Electric type are in peril. Raikou is thought to signify lightning speed and to have complete power over storm clouds. Raikou sprints through the plains, barking thunderous yells. Raikou’s screams may also cause shock waves in the air while shaking the earth.
