Biology
Rockruff is a canine quadruped Pokémon. It has a light brown coat with a deeper brown muzzle, paws, and ear tips. Large blue eyes, button ears, a small snout with a triangular pink nose, and a short tuft of hair on each cheek characterize it. A ruff of grayish-white fur stubbed with dark brown stones wraps around its neck. Its dark brown paw prints continue to a tiny tip on each wrist and ankle. It has a grayish-white tail with soft hair that folds firmly over its back.
Rockruff has a keen sense of smell and can never forget an odor after only one whiff. There are stories of it finding its way back to its Trainer after being separated by following the tiniest traces of smell. It has coexisted with humans since antiquity. Because of its friendliness, Rockruff is often suggested as an excellent beginning. It quickly bonds with Trainers. Rockruff, on the other hand, is known to be a difficult Pokémon to nurture, to the point that some Trainers leave it owing to their inability to manage it. This Pokémon is exceedingly friendly and will welcome people by caressing their shoulders with the pebbles around its neck. Rockruff becomes wilder and more autonomous as it matures. As it is near to evolution, it will start howling when the sun goes down. It is believed to leave its Trainer’s side and return after evolving. It is a tenacious Pokémon that will fight until it outlasts stronger opponents. Rockruff intimidates opponents by hitting the ground with the rocks on its neck. Rockruff, as stated in the anime, trains by jogging about. It assaults enemies when they flinch. It has been seen fighting with Growlithe for territory.
