Biology
Tapu Fini is a Legendary Pokémon that resembles a swordfish. Tapu Fini has a black body formed like a mermaid or a fish. It features bright blue eyes, white eyelids, and a light blue, fin-like marking across each eye’s outer corner. It features a little white V-shape on its breast and a white T-shape on its forehead. It has segmented purple bands across its shoulders, and its long thin arms feature webbed hands with three fingers. Each finger has a purple claw at the tip. A pale blue, fin-like protrusion with three spikes protrudes from the front of its lower body. It also has long, flowing hair-like bright blue fins on top of its head.
Tapu Fini’s primary body is enclosed in a violet shell that, when closed, resembles a swordfish head. The front of the shell bears a slender, pointed spine and a fin with light blue webbing on top. Two C-shaped patterns face each other on either side of the top shell, forming a rough circle. Both the white and light blue markings are highlighted in black. The swordfish’s “eye” is formed by these patterns. A sequence of white triangles with black borders run along the margins of both shell halves.
Tapu Fini, as the protector of Poni Island, can freely control water and derive energy from ocean currents. To protect itself in combat, it shrouds its environs in a strange fog that induces a self-destructive stupor in its opponents. The guardian also releases this fog as a test for anyone seeking the rare water it can produce, which is claimed to cleanse all it touches. Many people, including ones with malicious intent, have tried this trial; sickened by this past, Tapu Fini has little regard for mankind. Despite this, it is ready to assist individuals who demonstrate their value. [1] Tapu Fini, as shown in the anime, can create water clocks out of water and use mist to connect the worlds of the living and the dead. Long durations of exposure to this mist may permanently imprison individuals inside it, particularly those who cannot bear the agony of seeing a departed loved one again.
Tapu Fini and the other guardian deities are the only Pokémon known to be able to learn the move Nature’s Madness. They are also the only Pokémon known to use the Z-Move Guardian of Alola.
