Biology Info
Tentacool is a little cnidarian Pokémon. It features a light blue, clear body with two enormous, transparent red crystals on each side and one little one in the center. A pointed, beak-like protrusion and two eyes with tiny pupils are located towards the base of its body. Two grey tentacles protrude from behind its circular bottom body, which is shaped like a cape on the back.
Tentacool's body is 99.9% water, with the remaining 1% containing the organ that creates its venom. It absorbs sunlight and refracts it through its body's water to turn it into beam energy. Its tentacles are lined with stinging cells, and it can influence Pokémon that it contacts with its tentacles, as shown in the anime. Tentacles break off from time to time, but they can regrow. The venom from its tentacles is so strong that someone would need to be transported to the hospital right away. Tentacool is a weak swimmer who travels the globe by harnessing ocean currents. Tentacool forages actively food while it floats on the surface of shallow waters. Tentacool may mix in with the water, making it difficult to detect. It will sometimes wash ashore and shrivel up due to dehydration, but it is still as hazardous. Tentacool can be resurrected if it is returned to the sea.
