Biology

Tirtouga is a reptile Pokémon that looks like a newborn leatherback sea turtle. It has a blue body with black markings around the margins of its flippers. It features six circular indentations in its black shell. Its top beak and sections of its face are black, like a mask. It has a pale blue area beneath its eyes.

Tirtouga’s shell is very durable, and it can dive to depths of up to 1,000 meters. Tirtouga was known to aggressively search for prey, even going on land to reach them. Tirtouga first appeared in the primordial waters over 100 million years ago. It currently survives in the present because it was resurrected from fossils. Tirtouga is said to be the progenitor of the majority of turtle Pokémon.
