Biology

Toucannon is an avian Pokémon with black feathers and a toucan-like beak. The tip of the beak is black, with three red bands that progressively soften in hue toward the yellow base. The mandible is much smaller and completely crimson. A narrow black band wraps around the base of the beak, with two expansions into the upper jaw that resemble nostrils. Toucannon’s beak’s red bands may change color and migrate from tip to base. A white marking covers its chin and chest, and each cheek has a half-circle yellow marking. Toucannon’s eyes are dark blue, his eyelids are pale blue, and his brows are jagged and gray. It has a long tail with a crimson feather ruff at the base and spindly blue legs. Each foot features two toes pointing forward with black talons and two toes facing back with no apparent claws. Its tail seems to be bent expressly for the purpose of retaining it for a brief amount of time, maybe as a brace while discharging seeds.

Its beak contains gases that may ignite and shoot seeds with enough energy to crush rocks. Furthermore, its temperature may reach 212° Fahrenheit (100° Celsius) and produce serious burns when in touch. As shown in the anime, it can use its beak to warm up eggs. Toucannon communicate by striking each other with their beaks. The frequency and intensity of the impacts represent how it is feeling. Toucannon is well-known for building loving relationships. As a result, it is a popular good luck charm during weddings.

Toucannon is the only Pokémon known to be capable of learning the move Beak Blast.
