Venipede #543
Biology
Venipede is an insectoid Pokémon with a prominent hump on its top torso. Its thorax and head are mostly magenta, with black patterns on its shoulders, a band around each antenna, and an upside-down ‘Y’ on its neck. The upper part of its skull is divided by a conspicuous ridge extending down to a pointed tip, and its lower jaw is black. It has round, heavy-lidded eyes that protrude somewhat from the head. The dark green belly of the venipede is segmented, and it has four pairs of stubby black legs. Two slender black-banded feelers protrude from its hindquarters, which it utilizes in conjunction with its antennae to explore its environment and identify prey by feeling air vibrations.
Venipedes are very hostile, and their bite contains a toxin potent enough to immobilize huge bird Pokémon. Its fangs are said to be very poisonous. It often engages in combat with Sizzlipede, a similar species. Venipede will prey on whatever Pokémon it believes it can devour without giving it any thought.
Evolution family
Venipede is part of a three-member family.
